2012 Harvest Festival in Pound Ridge New York
On October 13, from 2 to 6 pm, the Town of Pound Ridge will be hosting its Harvest Festival once more this year. The event last year, featuring Edwin McCain, was a huge hit and this year’s festivities look to be even more exciting with the performance of Toad the Wet Sprocket!
Main Street will be blocked to vehicles as the center of town is turned to a congregation of people enjoying food, drink and music. Local merchants and specialty food purveyors serving delicious food, Magic Hat serving its brews, and a wine tasting are only a few of the things offered. We will have two popcorn machines working this year, as it seems everyone loves fresh, hot popcorn!
For children, there will be their own root beer gardens, face painting, games and contests. The featured musical act (named in honor of a Monty Python sketch) is a progressive folk-pop band. With all the good food, music and crafts from local folks and businesses, it is a great event for the whole family. Join us if you can!
